Description

Enamelled ceramic decorated with Antique Woman with Cupids by L. Pinson 1880 after Prud'hon terracotta G73Here is a painted enamelled ceramic made by L. Pinson the signature is difficult to identify, it represents an Antique scene. It is a 19th century object made on a terracotta element, a beautiful neoclassical plaque. Pierre Prudon, known as Pierre Paul Prud'hon, born in 1758, is one of the great painters of the end of the 18th century - and also one of the greatest draftsmen of his time. His production includes many compositions intended for engraving, which have been widely distributed. Painter, and draftsman; but he is not spontaneously cited as an illustrator. And apart from two famous plates (Phrosine and Melidore, and the Death of Virginia) this part of his work remains in the shadows. Unfortunately, we report gaps and enamel jumps in places, especially in the border, however everything remains presentable and pleasing to the eye. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: Height: 34.5 cm Width: 28.5 cm S: 3ET5C8EQP: 1118394.
