PINX GASTON ENGRAVING LA TOUCHE LITH LOUIS MULLER LE GUE Louis Muller signature lower right and stamp lower left Ste normande engraving n ° 90 Gaston de La Touche, also known as Gaston La Touche, born Marie Paul Gaston Chochon-Latouche le October 22, 1854 in Saint-Cloud, and died July 12, 1913 in Paris (7th arrondissement), is a French painter, engraver, illustrator and sculptor. Gaston de La Touche in his workshop in Saint-Cloud (circa 1899). Born into a family from Normandy, he convinced his parents to take drawing lessons from 1864 under the direction of Mr. Paul, drawing teacher, for three francs a month. These courses were definitively interrupted by the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 when the family found refuge in Normandy, at Champsecret, in the Orne. Louis Muller, born in Vénissieux on February 22, 1902 and died in Antony on May 23, 19571, is a French medalist. Engraving numbered 90.It received the second Rome prize for engraving in medals and semi-precious stones in 1929, and the first prize in Rome for engraving in medals and semi-precious stones in 1932. For the condition, we note small oxidation spots and halos, bites, slight wrinkling of handling, traces of folds in places, small lack, micro - tear ....
