Elegant Coro vintage bracelet from the 1950s Retro-Glamour collection - signed bracelet from the Coro house in metal, silver-plated and chrome, signed on the back, see photo for some minor signs of wear. This bracelet features a safety chain and measures approximately 18 cm long and 1.4 cm wide. Coro is one of the most famous and prolific vintage American costume jewelry brands of the 20th century. It was founded in New York in 1901 by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger, which is where the name Coro comes from. Coro became the largest jewelry company in the United States during the 1920s and was known for its ability to offer quality jewelry at affordable prices. Their jewelry is distinguished by its wide variety of styles, ranging from Art Deco to Retro, including figurative creations (animals, flowers). They heavily used rhinestones and gold or silver metal. The brand used different signatures, the most sought after being Coro Craft (their high-end line) and Vendôme (their luxury line from the 1950s and 1960s). Pieces signed with the winged horse emblem, Coro Pegasus, are also highly collectible. Coro jewelry is now highly sought after by vintage jewelry collectors for its finesse and beauty.
