SOUVENIR DRAWING 11TH REGIMENT OF HUNTING 1872 BY LOUISE LIEGEY 1877 C3510 This drawing represents a hunter of the 11th regiment which charges under the shells, it is a memory to the three hunters of the 1st platoon of the 3rd Squadron killed in action, Défontaine, Auguste and Clément of the 1872 class.It was produced by Mlle Louis Liégey watchmaker in Lunéville in 1877.The whole is drawn with a certain naivety, perhaps a photo affixed to the face which represented a soldier. The whole is stained and yellowed in the margins and on the design with friction and wear in some places, however the colors and the design remain in a suitable condition for the time.
