Circa 1960
Height: 23 cm - Diameter: 13 cm - Weight: 2 kg
The village of Sars-Poteries (in the Nord department) owes the second part of its name to the many artisan pottery factories dating back to the 18th century. In 1838, there were nine earthenware potteries, eight stoneware potteries, and one fossil ash quarry. Only small workshops (Maine, Lempereur…) that produced pots, jugs, vases, and various containers still existed in the 1970s and 1980s.
