The composition features a young man presenting a ring to a young woman elegantly dressed. The scene suggests a proposal of engagement in the Neapolitan romantic style. The costumes are finely decorated with polychrome floral patterns, enhanced with gilding. The faces are expressive and delicately modeled. The whole rests on an oval molded base with a rococo design highlighted in gold. Mark Present under the base of a crowned N in blue under glaze, attributed to Capodimonte, Naples. Condition Good overall antique condition.
