In Notes, the panel is broken in the middle left, but remains attached to the rest of the panel, see photo Friend of many Lyon painters (Emile Noirot, Montézin...), Emile Wegelin is the painter of the Alps, of Savoy, of Doubs and Jura, Normandy, Provence, Switzerland and Italy. He set up his easel everywhere and only exhibited regularly at the Lyon salon. He only made two submissions to the Salon of French Artists in 1935 and 1936. Rarely animated by characters, his landscapes are luminous and serene under the impasto which architecture them. In no way seeking notoriety, it is to respond to friendly requests that he participates in several exhibitions in France and Switzerland, in Lausanne, Friborg or Geneva.
