Stunning decorative plate made of glazed porcelain dating from the period 1847–1867, produced by the August Haas factory in Schlaggenwald (Bohemia). This is a refined work from the mid-19th century, reflecting the historicist and romantic taste of the time. At the center of the plate is a finely painted charming pastoral scene: a young couple has stopped by the side of a path, sitting on the ground. The young woman, mischievous, raises a grape or a berry to the sky, while the boy looks at her with a smile, holding a basket lid in his hand. At their feet, a basket overflowing with fruit adds to the abundance, and beside them stands a watchful dog, a faithful companion, adding a touch of tenderness to this bucolic scene. The whole is framed by a finely gilded medallion, surrounded by a wide imperial green band richly decorated with golden motifs and relief scrolls. The openwork handles, highlighted with gilding, complete the elegance of the piece. Marks on the reverse: Painted blue coat of arms Embossed mark: August Haas in Schlaggenwald Numbering: No. 750 Dimensions: Diameter: 33 cm (12.99") Condition: Very good condition for its age.
