Antique glove box, in lacquered wood. Late 19th, early 20th century. Dimensions: 30.5 cm x 10.5 cm. Height: 8 cm. Rectangular elongated box in wood, lacquered reddish-brown, decorated with a hand-applied golden floral design. The swirl motifs evoke the typical plant lines of Art Nouveau. The use of gilding and the style of the flowers recall the decorative arts of oriental inspiration from that era. The box shows signs of use and homogeneous aging, with a very nice patina consistent with around a hundred years. The key is missing. The hinges are impeccable, as are the joints: no play and perfect alignment of the container with its lid. Style: Art Nouveau.
