Antique hand mirror (circa 1900), an authentic witness of the Arts & Crafts movement. Charming object made of repoussé brass with detailed naturalistic décor:
- Bird in relief with outstretched wings.
- Delicate butterfly on the handle (one wing is missing).
Original glass with beveled edge.
Object "in its own juice," brass with an old patina and traces of wear and irregularities (some typical of repoussé metal craft), the mirror's backing is pitted/oxidized around the edges, typical of old mercury mirrors.
