Old copper cassotte (or couade in Occitan) with a pinkish color. It was made in Saintonge and dates back to the 17th or early 19th century. It is very well preserved, the copper is not oxidized and has a very nice color that leans towards pink.
This ladle-shaped container has a tubular handle. It was once used to pour water for washing hands, but also to easily pour water into a glass, to make ablutions, or to collect rainwater.
It is a beautiful decorative object for a kitchen or dining room. It can be placed down or hung on the wall.
