Description

Elegant decorative group in polychrome ceramic representing a pair of pheasants, remarkable for the finesse of its modeling and the richness of its naturalistic decor. The male pheasant, majestic, displays abundant and nuanced plumage, while the female, more discreet, brings balance and softness to the whole. The scene rests on a naturalized base evoking a rocky ground, typical of high-quality animal productions from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The piece features a partially readable circular stamp on the reverse, referencing the mention "Made in Belgium – Boch Fes – La Louvière – Belgian manufacture", as well as a model number 506. These elements allow for a very probable attribution to the Boch Frères – La Louvière factory (Belgium), famous for its ceramic and faience productions. A beautiful decorative object with character, ideal for a fireplace, console table, bookshelf, or a collector's interior fond of animal ceramics. Dimensions Length: 40 cm Width: 17 cm Height: 24 cm Period Late 19th – early 20th century Condition Good general condition considering its age. To note for transparency: old and discreet restoration on the male pheasant's tail, stable and barely visible. No other major cracks or missing parts to report. Shipping Careful and perfectly protected shipment. Shipping possible in France and internationally. Hand delivery possible depending on location. Country of origin: Belgium.
