Description

Beautiful antique tile in glazed earthenware of Persian origin (Iran), dating from the Qajar period (19th century).

This tile features an elegant polychrome decoration hand-painted, depicting a stylized bird surrounded by floral motifs, in the artistic tradition known as “gol-o bolbol” (flower and nightingale), emblematic of Persian art.

The whole piece stands out for its harmonious composition and fine drawing, both decorative and symbolic. The palette – cobalt blue, green, yellow, and brown on a white background – is typical of Iranian productions from this period. The relatively rare octagonal shape likely comes from an ancient decorative architectural use. The rough and irregular reverse, as well as the natural cracks in the glaze, attest to its authenticity and antiquity.

An authentic object, ideal for collectors, lovers of oriental art, or interior decoration. It can be displayed as is or integrated into a decorative project.

Dimensions: 19.5 x 21 x 1.8 cm.
