Superb amber-cut crystal vase engraved with acid – Hunting scene – Poland, 20th century This Polish crystal vase elegantly combines the transparency of crystal with the amber warmth of tinted glass, highlighting an exceptional acid engraving depicting a hunting scene. On one side, a hunter aims in the heart of a forest, rifle slung over his shoulder. On the other side, a hunting dog retrieves a duck, surrounded by tall grasses, trees, and reeds. The entire piece is accented by cross-cut crystal patterns along the side edges and the star-shaped base.
