SUITE OF FOUR BLACK FOREST BEARS BLACK FOREST XXTH SCULPTED WOOD M1150 Here are four bears in carved wood, it is a work of the Black Forest from the middle of the 20th century. It is rare to find a suite of four bears made by the same hand. Everything was executed with great finesse, especially with regard to the teeth, the coat. The subjects are funny. For the more picky, we report patina wear, friction and scratches on the four bears, the glass eyes are missing except on the bear that walks on all fours. Note a re-gluing on one of the legs of the bear which has glass eyes and that the large bear does not stand up, it was probably fixed on a base.
