Pretty little hand-carved wooden duck, Indian craftsmanship, Rajasthan or Kashmir, inlaid with copper and brass plates. Vintage from the 50s-70s. Simple sitting posture with folded wings, plated with golden brass, surrounded by rose copper, 2 ornamental copper rings around the neck and an eye made of copper and brass as well. Open beak, usually closed on this type of item, therefore noteworthy. Relatively dark shaded wood, patinated by time. 12.5 cm in height, 16 cm in maximum length, about 9 cm in width. Good overall condition, wings showing a natural and harmonious denting, a bit of discreet oxidation. Weighs approximately 350g.
