Very good general condition, see photo, sold with its frame under glass Coming from an old Gard family, Pierre Albert Génolhac devoted his entire life to artistic expression. He left a considerable body of work partially dispersed during his lifetime, then in 1979 in public sales Born in 1896, Génolhac entered the École Des Beaux Arts in Nice in 1917 where he studied academically. He retains the concern for the form of the composition and the drawing; but he quickly developed his enthusiasm for the search for new colored combinations and liberated lines. In 1919, he turned to Paris to meet painters who had the same aesthetic concerns as him. He found an echo of his sensitivity in Paul Serusier with whom he worked[2], and continued the Nabis adventure with Maurice Denis until 1923. Back in Nice, he created and led with his faith a group, “L'Effort”, where painters freed from routine and endowed with personal expressions found themselves, such as Victor Bourgeois, Émile Voizard, Henri Tricker, etc. Type:Gouache Style:1940 Genre:Nabi Theme:Landscape
