LITHOGRAPHY LANDSCAPE SOUSBOIS ETANG BY FRANCIS ROTH FRAME PITCHPIN XXEME A4072 This lithograph is a work by Francis Roth known for his landscape lithographs, it bears the number 421 out of 500.Francis Roth was born September 26, 1883 in Paris and died accidentally on May 13, 1932 on the road to Senlis on the way back from taking sketches in Pierrefonds. He was a pupil of Bertrand Palissy from 1897 to 1901. Francis Roth was a landscape engraver. He practiced his art from 1905 until his death in 1932.He exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1925 as well as that of the independents.He was also a watercolor painter, he painted during his stays many landscapes of the Jura, Yonne, Loiret, Midi, Brittany, the Paris region and Belgium.The frame is in Pitchpin a little damaged, bites to be reported mostly in the margin, the paper is a little curled, however, it remains in more than acceptable general condition. We have not cleaned the glass, it deserves a thorough cleaning. Everything is sold untouched.
