He landed in France in 1839 and joined the manufacture founded in Limoges from his brother David in 1853. His son Charles, born in 1832 and married the granddaughter of François Alluaud, a family that has been making Limoges porcelain since 1797. He bought it back and stamped his name on the pieces he produced. Charles Field Haviland retired from business in 1882, but was able to pass on his passion to his descendants. Full of history, this old milk jug or creamer from "Charles Field Haviland", from the prestigious Haviland manufacture in Limoges, will give value to your table and will in turn tell you all the stories it has gone through ... if you lend an ear !!
