GREAT VIRGIN AND CHILD NEVERS FAIENCE XVIII FLORAL DECOR M656 This Virgin in Nevers earthenware is from the 18th century. She is spectacular considering her size. We find a pretty polychromy, a floral decoration on the bottom. Despite its flaws, it remains in largely acceptable condition for the time. We report friction and micro-scratches on the whole, enamel jumps especially on the child's hair, on the bust of the Virgin, on the white and green drape, friction on the faces, chips on the fingertips of the Virgin and on the plinth. We believe that the Virgin must have carried something in her outstretched hand due to the position of the fingers. We did a rough cleaning, but a more thorough cleaning will remove the dirt in the hollows of the drapes. Sold untouched. For the state thank you for detailing the photos.
