Each piece features a richly illuminated golden monogram at the center of the reserve, with intertwined letters suggesting a custom order likely from a prominent family or prestigious establishment. The decoration consists of a wide Empire or Directoire frieze in fine gold, double-layered and polished to agate, enhanced with an intense royal blue line. The gilding is of exceptional quality, reflecting luxury craftsmanship, executed by hand in the Haviland workshops in Limoges.
