Sumptuous fine Limoges porcelain dessert service consisting of a dessert plate and 18 hand-decorated dessert plates in the purest neo-classical spirit. Each piece features a richly illuminated golden monogram at the center of the reserve, with intertwined letters suggesting a custom order likely from a prominent family or prestigious establishment. The decoration consists of a wide Empire or Directoire frieze in fine gold, double-layered and polished to agate, enhanced with an intense royal blue line. The gilding is of exceptional quality, reflecting luxury craftsmanship, executed by hand in the Haviland workshops in Limoges. Puget, 20 rue Michelet – Algiers was a major distributor of luxury items and table art, active during the Belle Époque. Maximum dimensions: - 1 plate: 28.5 x 26 x 3.6 cm / Weight: 614 grams / Very good condition - 18 plates: 19.4 x 2.2 cm / 229 grams x 18 / 16 pieces are in very good condition, 1 piece has a small chip, and another has a minor edge flaw.
