Very beautiful jar, demijohn, in the shape of a large bulging bottle with a single handle, made of Normandy stoneware (Calvados), antique from 1920-1930, handcrafted turned stoneware, glazed, elegant neck with a simple handle, glaze on these areas (on one side), at the front and back, in shades of wine, Bordeaux, with a shiny luster and silver reflections. One side more raw revealing the gray of the stoneware, the other darker brown/black and duller. Beautiful nuances. Approximately 30cm in total height, 15cm in maximum diameter, narrower base, slightly flattened sides. Very good condition considering its age, some imperfections and signs of time, relatively discreet, harmonious overall, beautiful decorative object. Approximately 1.5kg.
