Beautiful chess set, complete, turned wood, handcrafted, lacquered and varnished. Vintage mid-20th century, 1960s-80s. Classic design in the style of Stauton. Complete, 32 pieces. Nice proportions, Kings 9cm, Queens 7cm, Knights 6cm, Bishops 6.5cm, Rooks 5cm, Pawns 4cm-4.3cm. Knights are fairly detailed, with visible horse teeth. Each piece has a green felt base. The pieces are lightweight (unweighted) King 28g, approximately for example. In its original wooden box with a metal closure, featuring 2 storage compartments. Overall good condition: some signs of use and minor marks on the varnish or lacquer, no missing or cracked pieces, the box doesn't close very well and has a few scratches, discreet. Approximately 600g.
