GREEK APOLLO GOD BUST IN GERMAN BRONZE AKTIEN GESELLSCHAFT FOUNDRY HERMANN GLADENBECK (1827-1918) AND SOHN VORM H RED MARBLE COLUMN E650 This bronze is from the early 19th century. It is based on cherry red marble with elements in gilded bronze. The bust has a chocolate patina, it represents Apollo. He is well made. Note the inscription: Aktien Gesellschaft VORM H H Gladenbeck et sohnAPOLLON God of Greek mythology Apollo (in ancient Greek / Apóllôn, in Latin Apollo) is the Greek god of the arts, singing, music, male beauty, poetry and light. He is conductor of the nine muses.
