Authentic 19th century fir sideboard, high with two glass doors and 2 side windows, painted in matte blue in 2 shades. It offers a large part of glazed presentation, for a collection or personal decoration, additional shelves can be imagined in glass to let the light circulate, but you can fix clips at the bottom for a harmonious covering taking advantage of the entire height: 65cm under the shelf and 66 above. This original shelf, formerly nailed to the structure, is now placed on blocks and can be removed to create a large diorama visible on 3 sides. The lower part with its shelf, presents a large storage space, the interior is covered with a layer of cleaned varnish. Its recessed upper part, its large glass parts, the side glazing, the fine moldings on all 3 sides and its just perfect proportions give this piece of furniture a very harmonious, elegant and sober whole. The four glasses on the front have incredible bubbles and irregularities, full of charm, the likes of which we have rarely seen!, 2 have been replaced by old glass, one corner remains cracked at the top right (see photo) but we preferred to keep this period glass; the side glasses were also replaced (they were painted and cracked), with less old glass. The damaged cornice was restored; the locks missing too. Some paint defects... The upper part is placed on the bottom. The bottoms are made of thick boards entirely roughed with a round plane and nailed flat together (without grooves or tongues). Usually our matte finishes are protected of a wax, but we leave the choice to the future buyer to change the color easily.
