Auguste Victor Coutin is a French sculptor and medalist born June 11, 1864 in Paris, where he died January 30, 1942. Pupil of Aimé Millet and Augustin-Jean Moreau-Vauthier, he participated in the restoration site of Reims Cathedral, in particular the statues of the kings of Judah, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français in 1910 and 1912 and at the Salon des Tuileries. For the state, we report friction and micro-scratches on the bronze, a slight patina wear, note that the foot at the back is restored with iron wire, however this plate remains in good general condition.
