Victor Coste, Provencal artist born in Marseille in 1844. Pupil of Magaud and Rave at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Marseille, then Barry, he participated in the Paris Salon from 1883 to 1896. He also exhibited at the Colonial Exhibition from 1906, he specialized in the creation of marinas. Many of his landscapes are now kept at the Palais Longchamp and at the Musée Granet in Aix en Provence.
