A lot of over 500 postcards from the former USSR featuring paintings or objects preserved in Soviet museums. This now corresponds to the territory of Russia, but it seems to me that there are a few cards from what is now Uzbekistan and maybe from Ukraine; I apologize for not being able to distinguish them. There are also 2 or 3 cards printed in the USA but with Cyrillic text.
In detail, I counted 160 paintings, plus 28 portraits, 55 cards depicting fabrics or tapestries, 16 featuring costumes, 192 focusing on precious objects or antiques, and 48 other cards with various subjects; see photo 11, which has a long caption on the back, leaving little room for text; see photo 12.
There are 19 duplicates (the last ones in photo 10); otherwise, they are all different. In total, I counted 518, plus or minus 1 or 2 if I made a mistake. They are all photographed.
They are unused; see photo 2. They are in very good condition; there may very occasionally be a corner or edge crease or slight rubbing.
You won't be seeing such a lot anytime soon, perhaps even in your lifetime. So, if you are interested, don’t miss this opportunity, especially since I am offering it to you at a very reduced price. I won’t detail this lot; technically, you could resell some of them. They can also be resold in series for profit, making this set a reseller's lot.
The weight of the lot is 1.9 kg; the well-protected package will weigh 3 kg.
